In a Million Houses Only One Home
In the world there are so many homes and houses. But what makes a home really different from a house? These are my reasons why home is different from a house.
My top four words that describe home the best are calmness, softness, family, and joy.
When I think about my home one word I think about is calming. First, home is always a calming place to me especially after school and gymnastics. If you don”t know gymnastics is very hard on your mental health because of all the mental blocks you get. I love getting to go home to a warm, safe, loving, and calming home. It's really a blessing. Next, home contains all my favourite people, games, pets, and even my favourite stuffy. When I’m bored I love to play games. My favourite game to play is apples to apples. You should really try it. Third, there are many ways to make your home more calming. Number one you could add fuzzy blankets or so cozy pillows to spaces to make it feel more cozy and warm. Number two you can add candles or other things that smell nice. The smell in your home is very important. If you don’t like the smell of your home then it’s not going to feel like home. Different smells can even make you feel more calm and less stressed. The last way to make your home more calming is to add all your favourite things because calmness is a feeling that's going to look and feel different for everybody. There are so many different people in the world who are all unique in their own way. That's why it's very important to make sure that it makes you feel calm and not because that's the new trend. I hope that you make your home a calming place. Those are my three reasons why home is a calming place for me.
My home is always full of laughter, love, and kindness. My family and I love watching super funny movies together. We would all sit on the couch with a nice warm fire and freshly popped popcorn. This is so special because we don’t get a lot of family time because me and my sister are always in activities so the time we get as a family is really special. My family values kindness and responsibility a lot! So when we speak we have three rules, number one is to think if this is going to help the person. Number two is to think if it's going to hurt the person, and are you going to regret what you say to them. Third, I am so lucky to have a loving family who doesn't judge me and loves me for who I am. I am super thankful for a family who I can laugh with, who raised me to be a wonderful person, and someone who loves me for who I am. That's why home makes me think of laughter, love, and kindness.
My last but not least word that describes home is softness. You know when you go to your room and go under the sheets. When you feel warm and cozy from the softness of your sheets and the silkyness of your pillow. I know that when I try to get out of my amazing bed it takes forever which is a necessity for a home. Next my mom makes me think of softness. Softness to me is more than just a physical feeling like your bed but also a mental feeling to like the softness in someone's voice. I love going home after school to my two dogs. I have one dog named Dax who is a beagle and one named Diesel who is a pug. Both of my dogs are super soft and comforting. I love both my dogs so much. Softness describes home to me because of my cozy bed, my loving mom and my super crazy dogs. To conclude, calmness, softness, family, and love are my four words that describe my home. Finally home is a wonderful place where I know I love and are loved. I am so thankful that I have been blessed with a loving, safe, calming, and soft place. That’s what the true meaning of home is to me.
