This is What Home Means to Me

This is what home means to me. Home is where I feel happy and safe. At home I feel loved. When I am loved I am my best self. To me home is not a building, it is my family. When I wake up in the morning I lay in bed and my baby brother comes running in to me and my other brother’s room yelling, wake up! I don’t want to get up because my blanket, pillow and bed are so warm and cozy. When I get down from my bunk bed I want to jump into my brother’s bed to snuggle with him, but then I get dressed. Then I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After I eat breakfast my favourite is Cinnamon Toast, it’s super good. THen I go to school. I live in Saskatchewan so it’s super cold and it’s even colder in the morning. When I get home I go downstairs to watch TV and play mini hockey. Mini hockey is one of my favourite hobbies. When mom gets home we have supper. After my dad, my brothers and I might go skating on our backyard rink. When we get in my baby brother usually goes in early so he’s watching something or having a bath. After we have a snack we go to bed to charge up our bodies. I wish everybody had a home like this. That’s why Habitat for Humanity helps a lot of people find homes.
