What Home Means to Me

My house is a place where I eat, sleep and play. My home is a warm, soft, cozy sensation that wraps around me like a weighed blanket. Home is not only a place where I feel safe, it’s a place where I feel free to do anything and everything that I want to do. I still remember when we moved here from Calgary, I was only two. My first thought was ‘where is my room’. My second thought was ‘this is my home’. Weather were baking, crafting, or even chilling I feel safe. In my home there is always laughter, always happiness and always fun. I love all the perfect and imperfect pieces of my home, I love the way my stairs creak, and the way my carpet covers a great expanse of my home because it makes me feel warm, safe and loved. Without moments of laughter, fun and sadness, a home would feel, empty, lifeless and more like a house then a home. My home is more then a building to me because its filled with all the memories and feelings of safety, love and happiness.
