Home is Love

Home is where I can be myself and free. Like a bird in the sky. Like a fish in the sea. Home is not just a building it’s a place filled with fun and laughter. Like basketball shots on the driveway. Like game nights and chatter. Home is like a stacked tower. Each memory, a new stack, a new chapter. Home is bedtime stories and a goodnight kiss. Home is birthday morning surprises, waking up to gifts. Home is medals celebrating wins. Home is like a warm blanket on a cold day. It gives me protection, safety and a place to stay. It’s a roof over my head. A big hug before bed. Like a superhero with special powers, no matter how I feel it’s there for me at all hours. Home is family traditions, laughter, love and joy. It’s running around playing with new toys. It’s a place where we come together. Home is a delicious meals made by mom. After a hard day that’s where I come. Home is an amazing place. It’s unfortunate that some people don’t have a place to call home. I hope Habitat of Humanity can make more homes for people that can’t buy one.
