Picture This

Picture this: A home filled with love and joy that makes you feel like you're wrapped up in a warm blanket or in some sort of magical dream. The smells of delicious food being made on that extremely old rusty pan that looks like it could never make another meal again. Or the old hand me down couch that's full of wonderful memories that feel ever lasting and laughter that echoes through the hallways all the way to the lobby. The people who live there that make you feel at home: your mom, dad, your sister, your aunt, your uncle ,your grandma or grandpa, your extremely annoying brother, (well maybe not him but family is family and what are you going to do to kick him out? I wish). What I'm trying to say is it doesn't take much to make a place feel like home, to make it important or special to you. But I know that not everyone has a home that doesn't let water in or a warm living room with a couch to snuggle on freezing, cold winter days . What I have on this land is somewhere to be recognized for who I am. It is the opposite for others and we can't just abandon or turn away from the people who don't have what we have. Instead we should open our hearts and lend a helping hand to the ones in any way we can to those who can barely stand. Take my words and never turn away, you might make some one's day the Habitat for Humanity way.
