When I Walk into my Home...

When some people walk into their house, they see walls, food, parents, siblings, and a bed to go to sleep. But what I see are walls keeping the cold out and protecting us from the wintery storms and the harsh rainfalls. It's not just made of walls; it's made of love, stories, and family. I also see, well smell of nutritious stew that my mom is cooking with vegetables like carrots, potatoes, cabbage, and some salt and pepper to make it pop with flavor. When people walk into their homes and go onto their bed, all they do is close their eyes and try to fall asleep, but when I lay in my bed, I feel the clean sheets and blankets wrapped around me, keeping me warm. The feeling on my head pressing against the soft pillow that has bold colors like pink, red, and yellow. But one of the best things that I love is when I come home from a long hard day of school and hearing my niece laughing while running to the door getting ready to jump on me and I prepare myself to swing her in the air pretending that she is like an airplane scoring through the sky. After I get tired of flying, I go into a corner and count to ten, while my brother and her go and hide. We play a few rounds and then move on to something else where we must run and move for ten minutes straight. I am so grateful for my family and all the things they do for me.
