What Does Home Mean to Me
What Does Home Mean to Me
Home—what is home, you may wonder? Home can be anything that makes you feel comfortable. Home is a shelter that protects you from danger. Home is a place, no matter where you go. When you think about it, you feel joyful. Home is what you think about after a day of hard work. Home is where family spends time together.
Home is a special place. When I have a bad day, my home will reach out and help me. My mom will help me with tough homework. My dad will cook delicious food that has a wonderful smell. My brother will play video games with me, to cheer me up. My family and I play board games together. My family is special; that’s why my home is special.
Home is where memories are made. During the holidays, we bake together as a family and fill the house with laughter and love. Every picture of the cake is meaningful. Although they are not as good as the cakes we bought at the bakery, but it’s made with happiness. All of the pictures hold memories. Even when we go to the beach in the summertime, memories are made.
Home is not about how large or fancy your house is; it is about the happiness and memories it brings you. Home makes you feel cozy and understanding. When you are feeling lonely, home makes you feel better. Home is where your heart belongs. Whenever your family is together, that’s where the home is.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity. Everyone needs a safe house like I do, building people’s homes with kindness. So they could make memories too!
