What HOME means to me, and all the feelings that come with it

Home is where I feel safe, comforted and cared for. Home is a place that I feel free. A home is not about the pillars, foundation, the walls or the roof, no that’s a house, instead a home is where you make good and sometimes not so good memories. Home is about what you feel inside of you. It is where you can make mistakes and learn from them. To me, home is a place to communicate. It’s where the sound of laughter is everywhere! My home is where I feel entertained by watching TV, talking with my parents, learning more about the things of God, and way more! My home is where I feel endless joy, peace, love, and encouragement. My home sounds like me and my family gathering to pray in the morning. It sounds like chatting and laughter. My home feels safe, camfortable, joyful, cozy, and warm. My home smells like delicious food that’s being made in the kitchen. My home tatses like delicious food that was made in the kitchen. My home is a modest apartment furnished with love, kindness, and gratitude. When I think of home, I think of family, a place to feel safe, joyful, free, encouraged, etc. Home can be anywhere. A house is fixed in a particular place, but a home never changes no matter where you are, no matter the physical circumstances or the environment around you. My home is where I’m guided by my dad’s words of wisdom, teaching me more and more about God, and my mom’s warnings. My home is where my gifts and talents are expressed. My home is where I find joy while playing my piano and singing. In conclusion, home is the best place ever! Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for making houses and homes for others.
