HOME IS LOVE THAT LIGHTS MY WAY

Home is not just bricks or a place on a street, It’s where tired hearts rest and worries retreat. It’s where you can laugh or quietly stay, And still feel loved at the end of the day. Home smells like my mom’s cooking warm in the air, Spices and comfort that show how much she cares. Every meal feels cozy, no matter how small, Because love is the secret ingredient in all. Home is sibling fights over games and TV, Who’s right, who’s wrong, and who got more than me. We argue, we tease, sometimes we shout, But we stick together there’s no doubt about. On Diwali, home glows bright as can be, With diyas that shine like hope we can see. Light fills the rooms, the sweets, and the cheer, As laughter reminds us, good days are near. Home is my supporters who cheer me on loud, Who believe in my dreams and say they’re proud. They lift me up when I feel small, And help me stand strong when I start to fall. When the world feels dark or days feel long, Home is the place where I still belong. No matter how far or how much I roam, My heart always knows the way back home. Home is laughter, love, and light, Sunny mornings, hugs at night. Stories shared and songs that play, Moments of joy in every day. Cozy rooms where laughter rings, And every corner joyfulness brings. No matter where my footsteps stray, Home is love that lights my way. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for every door, For hope, safe walls, and so much more. With hands that build and hearts that care, You make safe homes for all to share.
