What Home Means To Me

For some people a house is just walls and a roof but its way more than that. It is a place where we grow and live. It's a place where we sleep and eat and make memories. It's the place where you feel safe. Most importantly it's where your family is. For me home means my family. My family makes me feel safe and loved. I am grateful for my family because they love me and they spend time with me. My family is the reason my house is a home. Home is a special place for me because it's where my memories are. It's where I play and it's where I sleep. My home is where we have movie nights and game nights. Home is my happy place and it has lots and lots of memories. At home I feel safe. I feel the safest when I am home. When I am at someone else's house I don't feel as comfortable as I do at my own home. I feel safe at home because my mom and dad are there to keep me safe. It is important to feel safe in your home. Not everyone has a home. They might have a family that loves them but they need someplace to feel safe. The habitat of humanity gives people a chance to have a home. They can even be a part of making their home so it means so much more to them when their home is built.
