Everyone Deserves a Home

Everyone deserves a place to call home. Whether it’s a condo, apartment, or a house. Home is where you feel safe, loved, and cared for. Where you aren’t judged and people like you for you. To me, home is where you curl up by the fire, with a nice warm blanket on a cold winter day. Or where you sit on the porch on a cool spring morning to watch the birds. The smell of the dry wall after coming home from a long vacation. Home is where you feel comfortable with your surroundings. That might not make sense, so let me give you an example. My grandparents,[my moms parents] have a REALLY big house.[they had three kids]and every time I go to there house, i’d say, ”why do you still live in this big house? Isn’t it big for just two people? Why don’t you move to a smaller house that’s more suitable for two people?” and my grandmother would say,” I’ve lived here for 50 years. This is my home. Now I’m going to tell you a little about where I live. I often tell my family when I grow up, I want to move to a house in the neighborhood that I live in now, because I like the area and most importantly its where I feel safe and comfortable. I’ve lived in my home my whole life,[10 years]and don't ever wish to move to a different area. I’m sorry to say, but this essay is starting to come to an end. But before I go, always remember to be grateful for the home that you have, because some people aren’t as lucky as you to even have a home.
