My Safe Place

My home isn't just a place where I sleep, eat and play. My home is my safe place. It's a place I know I can go to whenever I am feeling down. My home is a place I know I can go to when I need help. My home is where all my family is. My home is like a shield that will always protect me. When I get home from school, my home is always the place I go to. When I get home, I walk in, and I can smell the Spaghetti sauce as my mom stirs it in the pot. My home is where I can go watch movies in the living room and eat the sizzling popcorn that is melting in my mouth. My home is a place where I can hear my family's happiness. Their happiness is going around the room as we all laugh with joy at my dad's cheesy dad jokes. My home is the place where I can hear all of my family's jokes. At the end of the day, my home is always my safe place.
