My Home

My family is my home. My moms make me feel loved, heard and safe. I look up to my brother Dane. He is really funny. Tuxy completed my family. Tuxy is my cat and he was a stray until we took him into our home. He is a tuxedo cat. My family is a happy family and we get along. We have open conversations, often about nature. My mom runs the Green Herons in the classroom at our home. We take care of our planet which is our true home. To be stewards of nature, we plant, destroy invasive species and do garbage clean ups. The earth is our true home and we need to remember that there is no planet B. My house is not just a house, it is a home. My bedroom is a place I feel centred. I like to read my book and shoot basketballs. In our front room, we like to watch TV and play Minecraft. In our kitchen, my family likes to cook meals together. We eat and talk as a family. My yard is home to many living organisms. I have a forest in my backyard and you can hike down to the creek. Bunnies, deer, coywolves, birds and squirrels are some of the animals who live with me! My home is special because of my family, the spaces in my home, my backyard and how I treat the planet. My home is great! All people deserve a loving, safe and happy home.
