Writing about Home

Did you know that Habitat For Humanity has helped 65 million people in need since 1976? And here's why a home isn't just a house. And some things you can do inside and outside of your house and how they make you feel. If you’re outside on your deck or lawn you can do many things. Like playing with your dog or running around with a sibling to be entertained. If it’s night time or even during the day, you could collect sticks to start a fire to bond with family, with adult supervision of course! If you have animals like horses, dogs, or cats, you could play with them! You can ride your horse or use a string to play with your cat! And you could also throw a ball for your dog and your animals will be happy and will love you more. When you’re inside, you can do a couple of fun and relaxing activities. For example you can lounge around on a couch or bed and watch TV or play video games to feel calm. And if you want some actual active thing to do, then you could play hide and seek with a sibling. Or you could pass a ball back and forth. After doing these fun things with family, friends, and even your animals, you will come to realize that your home isn’t just where you live. It’s a place where you make memories and have fun. And thanks to Habitat For Humanity families and people around the world have homes and safe spaces to relax and stay. That is why home isn’t just a building.
