Weekend Wonderland

I wake up after a sweet sleep. Thinking of my parents bright smiles and big warm welcoming hugs. Peeling my eyes open after a night I counted sheep. Annoying questions from my brother, I just answer with a shrug. Putting a full can of hair spray in my ponytail The burn on my wrists when the ball hit them on a Saturday morning. Me and my volleyball team practice, and my mom goes to get the mail I go home in my shorts and top just to watch TV while it's raining. Waiting and waiting for a meal that's freshly cooked. Eating so much it just makes me sick. Getting ready for bed with a book I'm just hooked. Falling asleep oh so quick.
