The Meaning of Home

I think the meaning of home is where I can share my feelings. It is a place where I can cuddle with my dogs. Home is where I have a roof over my head and where I have fresh water to drink. Home is place where I feel safe and comfortable. I am so lucky to have my own bed to lay in when I am tired and food ready when I get home. Home is where you can go to sleep and wake up feeling safe, and feel the coziness of the blankets, the smell of coffee, breakfast, and or the love from a pet. It is a place where family comes together, a place for campfires, smores, and memories. There is a saying that there is a difference between a house and a home. I think a house is a place, four walls, and a space in between. A home is where you create those memories, make it your own, creating your own haven. Home is where I have most of my memories and when you have to move, it is hard to leave your memories. It is a place you can invite your friends, and be with loved ones. It is a place where you make traditions, celebrate special occasions, surrounded by the people you love. And whether our houses are big, small, fancy or old, they are our shelters and our nest. It is not just a building, but the emotions in it. Home is what you make it not your friends it is you that is your home.
