Home

In my 10 years I’ve lived in 6 different houses including small basement suites, large houses, different communities and they all felt like a home to me. Home isn’t a building, it is where my heart is, and my family goes. My home is filled with pictures on the walls, bookshelves filled with stories, outfits I love to wear, smells of food that my dad is cooking, my dog welcoming me at the door and people that I care about me and always listen, Even though I’ve lived in many different physical houses, the things that stay the same are what make a home -the comfy and snuggly furniture, the space that’s filled with wonderful memories and encouraging words, and the joy that comes from being surrounded by my family. I feel safe in my home. It’s a place I want to return to everyday. I look forward to sharing this place with my friends as I get older and creating wonderful memories. I want my home to be a place that everyone loves coming to. A place I can keep returning to for the rest of my life. Home is where my hart exhales where I don’t have to be strong or brave. It’s a place that knows my quiet fears and holds them gently year after year. Home is not perfect never was but its stitched together with hope and trust. Home is not a place that we come from its what we built for ourselves in this lifetime. For me home is a place I would want to go to after a rough day at school where I can hide in the shadows. Where I can be alone hard times where I can think of all my good memories and that is what I think of home.
