Home is my Happy Place

Home isn’t just four walls and a roof. Home is where my mom gives me a warm hug when I’m down after a tough day at school. At home, I feel safe, especially when there is a raging storm passing through our neighborhood and I’m cuddled up with my family, sipping on hot cocoa while enjoying our favourite family movies. Home is where I feel welcomed when all of us are laughing and telling jokes while playing a board game with no one left out. At home, we have family dinners where everyone gets together and enjoys my mom’s delicious cooking that has love buried in every dish. Home is like a force field which protects me from a season-ending loss in a football game or a bad day out of the house. As you can see, home isn’t just a building. Home is where memories are made, and we make each other smile and laugh. This is why home is my happy place.
