Where My Family Feels Safe

Home is a place where my family and I feel safe.It is a place that never makes me feel like I have to leave. When I walk through the door, I feel calm, comfortable, and protected. Home is more than just a building to me; it is where ITo me, home feels like a vault. Inside the vault are my family and everything I care about most. Outside the vault are things I don’t like, such as bullying, bad words, and racism. When I am at home, those negative things cannot reach me. Home protects me from the outside world and gives me a sense of peace. At home, I am surrounded by my brother, sister, mom, dad, and my two dogs. We enjoy spending time together by playing Monopoly and watching movies as a family. I also love playing soccer with my dad and my brother. These moments bring us closer together and help me forget about stress or worries. When I have a bad day at school, I know I am home as soon as I see my family and smell my favorite food that my mom makes for me. That smell reminds me that everything will be okay. Home is where I feel accepted, supported, and understood. It is the one place where I know I will always belong. can be myself without fear. It is where I feel loved no matter what kind of day I have had.
