What Home Means to Me

I love my home. A home is very different from a house because it is a very special place. A home is where you laugh, bake cookies, drink hot cocoa, and make memories. There are a couple of memories that can be made in a home. In my home, we watch movies and get scared or laugh, but sometimes my mom cries when something sad happens. We go to bed with a happy smile on our faces because of the jokes we play on each other. Sometimes jokes don't make me laugh, but most of the time they do. We play board games at the dinner table, and most of the time I win. My mom and watch TV and have a great time laughing when something funny happens. A home is my safe place when I’m down. My mom and dad make me feel safe, then sometimes we go out to eat, and we play games on the kids' sheet at a restaurant with crayons. We play till the food comes, and we try each other's food and share opinions, and we go on adventures together. Then on Christmas, we open presents and eat candy. We are full of joy when we get what we want, and we are grateful, so we give hugs and kisses. This is what makes a home its own beautiful creation with love, kindness, care, and most of all, family bonding. This is what a home means to my family and me.
