My Special Home
As a wise person once told me: “ Home isn’t a place, it's a feeling.”
My home is a special place where I feel loved, and safe. It is the best place ever. It's not just a house, it's my home.
In my kitchen, it always smells great. It smells like Egyptian food. Our living room is where we eat , play games, watch movies, while creating memories that would last a lifetime.
When I was in Egypt, my family and I lived in a small three bedroom apartment, it felt warm, and loving. When we moved to a bigger house here in Canada, I was afraid everything would change, but nothing changed. It felt the same, after I got used to calling it home. I realized It's not how big or small the house is , it is not the walls that make a home, it's the love, the memories , and all the feelings a family puts into it to make it a home.
When we moved into my current home. It started by just being another new house my family moved into . I started feeling it was home as we went through lots of memories together. A nice meal, a movie night, or a family board game.. It all builds up day by day. Which supports my point. A home is not about the rooms and furniture, it's about the love, and the memories you have with your family.
Back in Egypt, I had a wall decoration sign that said H.O.M.E. stands for Happy, Open arms, Memories, for Everyone, and I totally believe in that sign.
Habitat for Humanity is an unprofitable organization that helps homeless people receive shelter and I am sure they will fill their homes with love for everyone who needs it.
