What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just a place to sleep. Home is like a warm, comfortable embrace that surrounds me every day. The delicious smell of food wafts from our kitchen. I eagerly await my mother's cooking that evening. Our living room is like our book world. Do you know what the pictures on the wall mean? Pictures of our happiest days. They're all like stories, but the pictures on our wall... Each picture has its own story. The photo of my first steps, my birthday. Or photos of special occasions arranged. It's like a shield that protects us from anything that might happen. At the end of summer, we'll play volleyball and football in our backyard. Sometimes we go on trips to Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa. When winter comes, we don't play games downstairs; we study. Sometimes you have snowball fights outside or a man-to-man system is implemented.
