Meaning of Home

Home isn’t just a place to relax or sleep. Home is a place where you make memories with your family. You can play hockey with your Dad, ask your Mom how her day was at work, or help your Pop with something he’s working on. These moments are what make home special. When I come home from school, instead of sitting down and watching TV, I ask my Dad if he wants to play a game of hockey with me. It is really fun and I enjoy spending that time with him. Spending time with your parents is important because they won’t be around forever. When I sit at the kitchen table, I eat my food and ask my Mom how her day was at work. Instead of eating alone in your room, you should sit with your family and talk with them. You can also thank your Mom for making you the food you eat. When I am at my Pop’s and Nan’s house and I am bored, I ask my Pop if he needs help painting or fixing something. Spending time with your grandparents is important too because they won’t be around forever as well. Home is about making memories and spending time with the people you love. So ask your Dad to play hockey with you, ask your Mom how work was today, and help your Pop paint or build something he’s working on. Always remember to enjoy every moment with your family and make each day a memorable.
