Meaning of Home

Home I'm in my pjs and the blankets are gracefully falling as I get tucked in. There are coyotes howling in the dark skies but the stars light up the sky. My stuffies in my arms as I'm hugging them. My curtains are swaying back and forth. I feel loved as these things happen. That is what I call home. As I wake up I hear the floor creaking as my Mom is walking by, bacon crackling on the stove and eggs cracking being put on the stove. My eyes doze off barely staying awake, toaster popping up as my mouth drools. That is what I call home. RING,RING,RING the bell goes. The chatting as the kids go by woosh, woosh, woosh. Kids are rushing through the hallway. I find my friends and I join the chatting.The pencils are scraping as kids do their work. Woosh, woosh hand flying up and whispers as kids secretly talk but the teacher is always catching them. That is what I call home. The bell rings, boots are smacking on the ground, kids talking bang bang bang kids running. Cars starting, cars are driving away buses loading all the kids on. My friends say bye, I go on to my bus. My friends are on the bus. I smile. Screech! my bus gets to the stop stop by stop, I finally get home. I turn on my tv and I chill. That is what I call home. Home isn't just a house, it's where I feel like I'm loved. I feel safe at home. Do you know what home means to you? I have a thousand different places where I feel at home. Where do you feel at home? Even though I don’t have my brother with me I still have a piece of him with me to this day and will always be in my heart. I do feel sad when I talk about it but I get through it. As long as I have my matching stuffies with him, it will still be home. That is what I call home. Some traditions I have with my family are to celebrate Christmas, Halloween and Valentine’s Day with my family. That is what I call home. My favourite food is poutine, especially KFC’s poutine. It is really good with the warm gravy when I see it my mouth drools. That is what I call home.
