The Meaning of Home

Traditions Traditions help me know my meaning of home. One tradition I have is to go hiking up a mountain. I still go even though it's tiring but it is still fun. The view is so good at the top and it looks like heaven. Another tradition my family celebrates is Christmas, I just love the fresh smell of the cookies. It makes my mouth drool. I really like it because the kids get presents and the feeling of waking up on Christmas and smelling your Mom making those fresh cookies for you to enjoy. My family also celebrates Halloween despite it being dark on Halloween. I still really like it.and the reason i like it so much is that all the kids go trick or treating sometimes you even go with your friends! It makes me feel like because if I don't do these things I don't feel at home. Pets. My pets are part of my home. And bring meaning to my home. Since I live on a farm, I have A LOT of pets but I'm going to write about my 4 super fluffy, cute and adorable chickens! My 4 chickens remind me of my home because they are what wake me up every morning. And they are the ones that keep me busy for hours a day. I really enjoy spending time with my chickens. And I just love watching them have fun and run around my yard. Even though it’s so fun to play with them, my sister and I even taught them tricks! In my opinion chickens are the cutest and sweetest pets you can and will ever have! The reason my pets make me feel at home is because they are part of my life and I don’t feel at home if I don't do these things Rocks Rocks bring meaning to my home. I have many hobbies but my favourite one is to collect rocks. I have been collecting rock for about 4 years now. I even have a table of them in my room! Every morning when I wake up the first thing I see are my rocks. I don't feel at home if I don't see my rocks in the morning. I don't know about you but collecting rocks is one of the funnest hobbies you can have! It also teaches you about the earth and how it was formed! I have been collecting rocks for a while now, so they are part of my life and that's why they make me feel at home. Favourite foods Food is super important to my family because it gives meaning to my family.I have many favourite foods but my favourite one out of all of them is one that's not from Canada so I doubt any of you guys know what it is. But I'm going to say it anyway, it's called picadeyo and it's my FAVORITE food. Most of my family lives in Costa Rica, so I normally eat it there. And whenever I eat it it's with my family. The smell of it just smells too good and watching it cook makes my mouth water. Oh and picadeyo is rice, meat, and potatoes And now you know what makes me feel at home.
