Home is a portal to my Heart

When the world feels heavy, and people buzz around, there is a place where I feel safe and sound. The place sings quiet hums, the sun's dancing rays blast through my blinds. The fridge and clock are always singing, but what I said is just the beginning. This place is my home. When it's cold outside, I drink some hot cocoa in my favorite mug, when it’s made right it feels just like a warm hug. Click!Clack! The world is loud, but in my home there’s barely a sound. Sometimes people are loud and clear, inside my home it’s so faint you can’t hear a sound. My mother makes very yummy food, so good I want some more, the taste is too tasty to ignore. We watch movies almost every weekend, when my brother is frightened he holds my hand so tiny and warm compared to mine, when he’s tired he lets out a sigh. Whether it’s to get out of the irksome world, or to take some time and read this poem, home is a place where you don't have to roam, I think everyone deserves a home.
