The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home is where I feel accepted and very protected. I can go to bed with no worries in my head. A home is where my memories lay where I make more day by day. Not everyone has a home. No bed to sleep in, no place to dance and leap in. Nobody should call the street their home when they have to seek for something to eat. People have families, how do they stay? How do they sit and just pretend it's ok? Sitting on burning hot pavement in the summer is not good. I could not imagine having to pray every single day hoping for someone to care, to take their time and help but no one does. It's truly not fair. Not being able to brush your teeth or even sometimes you can't eat. To you it's just a house but to me it's a home. It's my safe space and I will never feel alone. The meaning of home is a wonderful thing. It's a place where you can dance, sing and spread your wings. I am extremely grateful to have a home. Everyone should feel that way but they don't. They may say “My house is too small” and some people don't have one at all. Just think of that when you're ungrateful for what you have. They have to fight to survive every day and it's not okay. That is the meaning of home.
