Home is where my heart is

When I see pictures of my family together it makes me feel like I am gone back in time. My dogs are a big part of my life. One dog is white and is 9 years old. Her name is Clover. My other dog is black and is 4 years old. His name is Oggie. On Christmas day a few years ago my dad said he was gone to get batteries but he actually went to the SPCA and got them. I was so happy because they aren’t just dogs, they’re my family. When I step into my home I smell my mom’s delicious cooking. My favorite foods are the ones my mom makes, like stew,spaghetti and steak. These smells make me feel warm,cozy,good and lucky. I love when we have game night because all I hear is laughter and the radio playing Irish music because my family is from Ireland. Here’s what I’m thankful for. I’m thankful for my family, my health, the roof over my head and my safety. Thank you for all the memories because you’ll never know what they mean to me. It gives me trust with-in me and that's a big part of humanity. Thank you habitat for humanity for making others hearts warmer and safer and for helping make a difference in others lives.
