Home is Where my Heart Belongs

If home were a sight it would be the people who love me. Home looks like my rabbit’s cute little face looking at me. Home looks like a place I know by heart. If home were a sound it would be the voices of the people I know I can trust. Home sounds like the laughter of my family. Even when it’s quiet, it will never be lonely. If home were a smell it would be the food coming out of the oven. If home were a scent it’d be warm and gentle. If home were a feeling it would be a warm hug that makes all my worries disappear. Home feels like the light in the dark. If home were a taste it’d be the food made with love and care. Home tastes like my favourite meal after a long day at school. Home is where everything feels safe, even when life feels too much. Home is where my heart belongs.
