Home to Me

Home to me is like a warm blanket around me; it makes me feel warm and relaxed. Home helps me all the time in my downs and my ups, no matter how I feel, it always brings me comfort. When I think of all those who don't have a home, it makes me sad because a home is warm, comfortable, and peaceful. Home to me is an adventure, passing through my brothers Lego extravaganza, my sisters'never ending laundry pile, and my dad's messes in the garage. Home is a reminder to me of the adventures, from championship football wins to cliff jumping, even nine-hour car rides. When I have a terrible day at school, it feels like home is just wrapping around me and giving me a big warm hug. Home to me is messy, clean, loud, peaceful, and stressful too. Sometimes I need a break from home too, though home may be hard because of doing the dishes or laundry, there are still days when I am so thankful that I have a home. From taking naps to watching a show, no matter what is happening outside, whether it’s snowing, raining, thundering, or sunny, home is still there for me when I need it. What I’ve found is that no matter what happens around me, will most likely not be able to break in because my safety and I are protected because of the home I am blessed with. I love my home because I have been living in it for nine years now, and I would be so sad if something happened because I have so many memories and friends at my house and I don’t want to lose all the memories and family around me either. Those memories are what home feels like to me.
