Meaning of Home

Home, a place where I love and where fun and laughter never end. Home, a place of warmth and love. Home, a space that never ends, unlike a house, that has walls. In a house, I can hang photos of my memories on the walls, In my home I keep the memories in my heart. A house can shield me from rain and thunderstorms, My home can shield me from hurtful people and words. A house is just an empty shell, A home is what fills the shell with cheerful memories, joy, and love. A home might taste like the famous hot chocolate we all enjoy in the winter, a house tastes like nothing. A house may look beautiful and pretty on the inside and outside filled with furniture, a home may look like all of your friends and family gathering around for the holidays. A home can smell like our mothers cooking, a house can smell like drywall and wood floors. In my home, I hear my mom calling me in for dinner and birds chirping in the yard. In my house I hear the quiet hum of the heater in my room. A home feels like warmth and hugs from your family and friends. A house can feel like the scrape of the floors on your feet, or the comfort of your room.. A house needs foundation, cement, and wood supports to stay up. All you need for a home to stay up is love, hope, and caring Home is a friend, it comforts you when times are tough. Home is my safe place, the place I love so dear, it will always be there for me, when I'm far away or near. No matter my place, I will always be home.
