What Home Means to Me

Home is more than 4 walls and a roof. Some people don’t even have a home. They don’t have shelter to keep them warm. We are lucky we have a home. We have a good home. It is a place to be proud and not afraid. This is what home is. Home is where you can be yourself and feel comfortable. It is a place where you have warmth and love. I live with my mom and my sister. My mom works hard every day and cares for the home too. I also have a puppy and she takes care of him too. Some people live by themselves. They have a home to care for by themselves. But again, some people don’t have a home. We should be grateful we even have a home. It keeps us safe from the storms and the rain outside. A home is a lot different than a house. A house is just a structure with bricks and windows and all that construction stuff. A home is a place where you feel safe and loved and, most of all, happy. If you don’t feel happy in your home, you don’t have to call it home. A real home is a place where you feel strong. At home, we have games, movies and more things that make us happy and feel like home is the place where we like to do it. I love my home, and so does my family. In conclusion, home is a sanctuary. You have your own room and the objects you love. Home is the place you love. A place where your family loves. A place you can call your safe place. Home is safe. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity for building beautiful, perfect homes.
