A Place to Call Home
When I was little, I used to think I didn’t need a home. That I could just go to hotels across the world and live there. But I was wrong. We all need a home to finally have a place to feel safe and warm, to have memories, childhoods, and experiences. When I go home, it’s a place to let go of my insecurities and just let go. It’s finally a place where I don’t have to act fake and follow rules that cage me. Like humans, animals also have homes. In trees, oceans, lakes, burrows, and really anywhere. To me, home means comfort and love. I think of my soft pillow and cushiony bed. But I also think of my family. My home is like something I rely on. It’s like a shoulder to rest on.
