It’s Not Just A House It’s A Home

In my house we have nice furniture, some of my brother's toys, and 5 pairs of shoes. 4 walls, a roof, some windows, and a door. But in my home I have much more. I have the smell of my mom's cooking, my brother’s little Legos that get caught under your feet, the taste of popcorn in my mouth as me and my family talk about our days when we watch a hockey game. The sound of my brothers as they play ministicks in the basement, the way my dad always makes a joke at the right time. These are just a few of the feelings and sounds that come to mind when I think of home. My family is from all diffrent places my mom is from Nova Scotia, my dad is from British Columbia, me from Newfoundland, and my brothers from Winnipeg. We have a house in Winnipeg that we turned into a home. Our Home. I would like to thank Home For Humanity for making housing possible for those in need. By.Heidi
