Home isn't just a building

Home isn't just a place where you sleep, eat, and drink. Home is a place where memories are made and where every room you walk into is made with pure love and you are safe. You know when your home is home when you walk into the kitchen and smell a fresh homemade meal. Another thing that makes my home complete is my brother. He fills me up with his cheer on my bad days and helps me when I need it. I'm also grateful for my dad helping me with sports and makes sure I am the best athlete I can be just by telling me to do the smallest things is home to me. My mom she makes me snacks when I'm sad or lost a hockey game that was a big deal. Another reason that home is home is because as soon as I walk in the door from being at school my dog comes running. The sound of his paws scratching on the ground gives me shivers because my heart is filled with joy! The smell of my brothers hockey gear airing out in the basement. Or the sound of the patio door opening and closing for my dog to go out is home to me. The sound of my garage door opening when my family members get home is home to me that is what home means to me.
