House And Home

I always thought a house and a home were the exact same thing. But then I noticed they have so many differences. A house is a shelter that keeps you from the rain. A house is not yours. A house helps you feel relief but doesn't speak to your heart. Home is the scent of baking or pizza in the oven. Home is where we stay up late playing all our favorite games! Home for me is all around my family and my friends. My home is like a shield of steel, a shield that collects happy memories. Even though there will be cries, home will always be there. If we are across the country, we can come back to a lovely bed in a home that we call ours. My Comox home is on an island off BC. The morning runs to mountain biking. It's activity to activity. The oceans are all around us and so are animals too! A home can mean so many things, and I am so glad to share this with you.
