Home Is Not Just a House

Home is not just a building, it is the place where all your loved ones live, all the people who love and care about you, all the people you love and care about. A home is a place where you make memories with loved ones while you can, they won't be around forever. Home is where all the smells of remarkable food is. A home is a safe place, somewhere calming. Not everyone has a home, they might not feel safe where they are, when a person is seen on the street, you should help them feel safe, even if that only means talking to them. In a home you hear the voices of your loved ones, you see them, you are them. The kitchen table is where connections are made, the living room is where we get together, the home itself is where happiness is. In a home, family help when someone is ill, make them happy, even if they are slowly getting sicker. I have three places that I live. I live with my grandparents, sometimes I’m with my mom, and other times I’m with my father. Even with divorced parents I still feel safe at all homes. When I'm with my mother I have dogs that help me feel safe because they stay around me. When I'm with my father I have two cats that help me feel safe because they are so soft and gentle. I used to have a dog named Peanut, he passed away September 16th, 2024. When around my grandparents, it is a calm household, they help keep me company. Sometimes I play board games with my father, like snakes and ladders. When I feel lonely, I visit my friends, or they visit me, it helps me feel safe. I feel calm when I drink water in my home, water is calming, so is being in my home.
