A New Shell

Francise was moving. He didn't want to, he had lived in this shell for 6 years already and it had been quite comfortable. Sadly, now he was too big for his shell. The moving bear would be here in a few hours. Slowly, he dragged himself to the living room and took down his old disco ball. It was cracked and tarnished from many a night of partying, yet he would never discard it. Everything was packed up. Francise left. Sadly in a melancholy state, he oozed away. At his new shell, the moving bear was waiting. “You want some help unpacking?” “No, but thanks for the offer” Francise mumbled. He pulled the boxes in one by one, and unpacked his blanket. That night Francise slept on the floor. He stared up at the ceiling. His thoughts whirling like vegetables in a salad spinner. Would this place ever be a true home? Finally his thoughts sunk into a tumultuous dream. The next morning, he hung up his old disco ball and cranked up the music, boogying like his ancestor would. With his soul music blasting and the disco ball spinning, it became just a little more like home. He found his best moves and bogeyed out his feelings. A true, proud disco snail. The End.
