My Safe Home

Home is a place I feel most safe in. Whether it’s in my bedroom, the kitchen or even the bathroom, I feel safe. Home is where I have my family. Where we make hot chocolate with gingerbread man shaped marshmallows and we watch movies with a bowl of hot buttery popcorn or cold caramel popcorn with a blanket wrapped around us. Home is where I have my desk, my messy desk with paper scraps all over the floor around, and sticky glue sticks spots where I tried to make slime out of glue sticks. My mom is always telling me to clean my desk because it’s a mess. Home is where we make the biggest memories, from little things to the big adventures. It’s also a place where I dance, sing and do cartwheels like I’m from the circus, with my sister telling me ' you're going to knock the chandelier off! ’ Sometimes we fight and have arguments like when my sister accuses me of stealing her stuff and I didn’t do anything or when I eat snacks before dinner and my mom yells at me. Even when that happens all the time, I still feel homesick when I go on lovely vacations like Japan. Sometimes your home might not be the most harmonized place to you but for me Home is my favourite place and that can never change.
