What Home Means To Me

My house is full of love and brings people together. We have neighbor Christmas where our neighbors come over and play games, watch movies and eat snacks and yummy treats. I like to make sweet berry tea and watch the birds go to and from the bird feeder, especially in the winter when I am curled up underneath a blanket sitting with my mom in our living room. Every day when I walk into my house, my dog runs up to me and kisses my face. If I had a bad day she always cheers me up and makes me feel happy. Whenever it’s someone's birthday, my family and I decorate the house and make everyone feel special. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year because at Christmas my Nana comes over for my dads birthday and she brings Candy cane cake and we have Candy cane ice cream as a special treat. One of my favourite things to do at Christmas is to have Christmas movie nights in the basement as a family. It is especially funny when my grandpa watches a funny movie and starts coughing so hard when he laughs he has to walk around the room. I like that whenever my Grandma and Grandpa come over my Grandma always yells at my Grandpa and makes me and my family laugh. I like to get out a puzzle and listen to an Odyssey and try to solve it with my mom, dad and sister. As a family in my house we play games and laugh together and I know that I am safe with my family. I know that I am safe in my house because I have a roof over my head and walls holding it up. Home is where my heart is.
