What Home Means to Me

To me home is like a big memory holder. It’s a place where I can be myself and tell my family my thoughts and feelings. At home I feel safe and comfortable. Home isn’t just a house or a building it is a place where you eat, sleep, and express your feelings and thoughts. Home is a place where we celebrate holidays, have family dinners and then my baby cousin goes crazy. It is the little memories that matter, sometimes the big memories but it is usually the little ones. I like to play with my dog in the backyard, when I walk home from school my dog will be out in the front yard on his leash and when he sees me he runs to me the second I step on the lawn. Sometimes I’ll come from hockey and I’ll smell the lasagna that my Tutu made us for family dinner. Home is a place where you grow up, cherish your memories, feel safe, and noticed.
