Home is my heart. It’s where I am safe, warm, and comfortable. It’s where I can be confident and who I am. Home is not just a building. It’s BBQ and Hotpot on a Summer Day, or Miso soup and sushi after school. It’s the banana bread we make on weekends that seems ordinary, but it’s not ordinary because all my family helped. It’s not just a recipe, it’s a shared memory. Home is a pet fish that splashes around and hogs all the fish food. Home is a gray and black fish that blocks any other fish in the tank from entering the big log. It has happy and funny emotions when they chase each other from their territories. Home is where my heart is; it’s a family story packed full of emotions. It’s food that isn’t just a recipe, but a shared memory. It’s a game night that's happy or sad and exciting.
