What home means to me…

My house has always been a home for me, with two loving parents and an awesome older brother by my side. We always get through the highs and lows, arguments, and joyful moments together. And even though I have such a loving home, I have always thought of theatre my home away from home. Theatre is a place where I find most joy: singing, dancing, and acting along with friends who feel like family. Laughter filling the rehearsal hall as we play games during free time, sharing snacks and talking about our day, and meeting up once a week to make a musical come to life. I’m so incredibly grateful to have these opportunities and to have the chance to do the things I love, and I’m very glad that Habitat for Humanity is helping other families find their dream home. I am very lucky to have grown up in a well-managed house, but without the love and support my family has shown me, it would just be a building and a place to sleep. Growing up in Canada has been such a blessing for me, so thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping families find, not just a house, but a wonderful home.
