This is my Happy Place

My home feels like my happy place because I feel safe. Whenever I go into the living room all I smell is the candles burning. In the kitchen I smell the warm fireplace. I feel calm when my dog comes to sleep with me. My baby brother Theo comes on the couch. My mom tries not to make a peep. When I am sick mom gives me medicine and I either fall asleep on the couch or on my bed with my dog and with my cozy blankets. Before bed mom reads me a chapter of my favorite book. My mom kisses me on the forehead, and she sets my alarm clock than she says goodnight. This is what I think of my home. P.S. friends can change but family stays.
