What Home Means To Me What the word home means to me. The word home means freedom. When I'm not at my house in the city I go to the lake. When I’m at the lake I feel free. I can go off and do my own stuff. When I'm there I feel like I can do anything. The world there is amazing, The cats and trees make it beautiful. My home is Manhattan Beach. That is where my family is. We have been there for many generations. I love going there because I can go and do my own stuff. Sometimes my parents have to worry about me and sometimes they don't. It is a beautiful place. It's beautiful because at the top of the hill you can look over and see the view of the lake. When the sun is going down you can climb up a tree or sit on a bench overlooking the lake and watch the sun rise and set. My favourite part about the lake is when I go swimming and I can go paddle boarding far out. When there is a thunder storm the lightning you see coming over the lake is beautiful. When the thunder hits the water it glows. There also is a book store and a candy store. There is mini golf there and you can play for free.There is a pool and a lake.If you don't want to go swimming in the lake then you can go swimming in the pool.Things that make it homey are that I can go on lots of hikes, I can do gymastics, I can go tubing out on the lake or me and my family can blow up the island and go on the sea-doo. The lake is my freedom and my heart will always belong there as my home.
