What my home means to me

My home isn't just a shelter, it's my heart and even though you grow up with lots of siblings or no siblings, everyone is their own piece of the family too. As I step into my house after school the smell of warm food fills the air, and it reminds me of my old house,”my old house had all my memories” I thought, until I realized it's not just a shelter you stay in, it's my everything. And I get jealous of my siblings all the time, but it's not about jealousy or love and stuff like that, it's about spending time with your family. Even the little things, like playing board games or just talking a little. It's hard moving away from the place and town you grew up in with all your memories then getting told “oh you'll find new friends” but it's hard too. And when you grow up you slowly start to realize it was never that hard, as I settle into the house it's actually comforting and as I play with family it reminds me of when I would try to play monopoly when I was little, And I miss my old home too.
