The Meaning of Home to Me

Home is a safe place to feel all my emotions freely. My home is a bunker that shields me from the outside world. Whenever I walk into my house I am filled with happy memories of my loved ones. It is like a blanket that is always ready to embrace me. Just after I enter my home after a drab, rainy day, I am greeted with the warmth and comfort of my family. If I am feeling down, I can always count on them to lighten my mood; I know they will always be there. When I am tired, I am grateful to be able to snuggle under my warm blanket and give my parents a hug before bed. I love lying on my couch under my duvet and enjoy reading a story with my dad. Every time I come home my parents are there waiting for me ready to welcome me in. they are always there to help me figure things out. From my house in other countries, to my house here, it is my family that has been with me throughout everything; therefore, the meaning of home to me is spending time with my loved ones.
