The Meaning of Home to Me

The meaning of home to me Home isn’t just about size and shape, it’s about family, love, and safety. It doesn’t matter if your walls are smooth when you wanted them rocky. It doesn’t matter if you’re roof isn’t as pretty and nice as you wanted it to be. It’s not about the structure of a building, it’s about what you feel. For me I don’t care about what something looks like, I care about my family and my friends. It’s important that you feel safe and loved. You should be able to let out your feelings at any time or when needed. In my house I am safe and secure. Home is a place where we have shared so many memories, told so many secrets, and overall had so much fun. If you think about it, home is like a soft, cozy blanket that wraps around you and hides you from the ghosts that are under your bed, in the closet, or at your feet. Home feels like a shield that hovers over you and keeps you safe. Home is like a “person” that you can talk to forever and never feel alone. Even if you haven’t been in your house for a while, once you settle in, it feels like forever because its now called your home. From all the memories, to the games, to the family movies, to feeling loved, I am so grateful to call my home, mine, and I hope you are too.
