Meaning of Home

My home is where my family spends every day with me. It’s where we play board games, eat dinner and play pool or ping-pong together. Home is where I can celebrate holidays with my family and extended family or play with my grandma’s dog, Amber. It’s where my cousins play games with my sister and me. Home is where I can sit, read or colour and get comfortable, sleep or daydream, or where my sister and I colour or do a drawing contest. Home is where, in the summer, my sister and I play in the backyard, or go to the pool or even go play pickleball or tennis with my dad. It’s where my family and I can go on a bike ride around the neighbourhood. Home is where we can have movie nights and cuddle up under soft, cozy blankets and have popcorn or other yummy snacks. It’s where we can laugh, cry or even be terrified. Home is where memories are made from pictures or videos, or even just keeping them locked in your brain like a safe that you can take with you wherever you go. Home is where we can go on trips and have fun or some weird experiences. It’s where I can make memories of all of the places we’ve gone to. Home is my comfy places like my bed, where dreams can be made, or my couch, chair or even a comfy spot on the floor in a corner where it feels like a shield protecting me from things that could happen in life. Home is eating supper with my family and talking about things that happened during the day. Home is spending time with family, and that is what home means to me.
