House and Home By Noah Friesen “A house is built with bricks and beams but a home is built with love and dreams”. My home is safe, warm and has good food. Home is a place where people should feel safe . It doesn't just have to be your home, it can be your cabin or cousin’s house too. I also feel this way at my friend's house. This feeling is important because a lot of people don't feel safe, such as homeless people.For those whose home isn't welcoming feeling safe at home is important because it gives us a sense of security. There are two ways to describe warmth. Firstly is love which gives us a feeling of nurturing space.Secondly there is a physical heat to protect us from cold weather. My home is fortunately both types of warmth. This not only allows me to feel safe and cared for but loved and gives me a place to be myself. There are some people that do not get this warmth in their homes that cannot afford it to protect them from the cold weather. Finally ,having good food available and sharing a meal with friends and family builds lots of connections . It is important to give your guests good food, to nurture your friendship. It is always okay to like or dislike food that is offered in a polite way. No matter what materials your house is made out of ,it is what's on the inside that counts.
